AN ACT CONCERNING APPLICATIONS FOR NEW OR EXPANDED SOLID WASTE FACILITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection from considering any application for a new or expanded solid waste facility until any such applicant has received all necessary municipal approvals and permits.

Statement of Purpose:

To prohibit the state's consideration of applications for new or expanded solid waste facilities until local approvals have been received.
