H.R. No. 2155

	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The city of Socorro has greatly benefited from the
	dedicated efforts of City Council Representative Sergio Cox; and
	WHEREAS, A Socorro resident since 1966, Representative Cox
	had a distinguished 26-year career with the El Paso Police
	Department; he first joined the city council as the at-large
	representative in 2006, and he was elected as District 1
	representative in November 2013; during his tenure in municipal
	government, his knowledge and expertise in a wide range of
	community issues have earned him the respect of many people; and
	WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of
	life for their fellow citizens in numerous ways, and the efforts of
	Sergio Cox are helping to make Socorro an even better place in which
	to live and work; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
	Legislature hereby commend Socorro City Council Representative
	Sergio Cox for his exemplary public service and extend to him
	sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Mr. Cox as an expression of high regard by the Texas
	House of Representatives.
