H.R. No. 2167

	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, El Paso Water Utilities received a 2014 Sustainable
	Water Utility Management Award from the Association of Metropolitan
	Water Agencies; and
	WHEREAS, This national award, presented for the first time in
	2014, was given to nine water utilities that demonstrated
	innovation and success in areas of economic, social, and
	environmental endeavors; El Paso Water Utilities received high
	marks in all areas, as determined by national benchmarking surveys
	conducted by the AMWA; and
	WHEREAS, El Paso Water Utilities was additionally recognized
	for its proactive management strategy, which focuses on policy,
	planning, and technology; the AMWA also noted that El Paso's
	average residential water bills are some of the lowest in the
	Southwest region, largely because of operational efficiency and
	continually improving sustainability efforts; and
	WHEREAS, Employees and administrators of El Paso Water
	Utilities work tirelessly to ensure area residents have access to
	clean and safe water, and this award is a fitting tribute to all
	they have accomplished; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
	Legislature hereby congratulate El Paso Water Utilities on
	receiving a 2014 Sustainable Water Utility Management Award and
	extend to all those associated with the organization sincere best
	wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for El Paso Water Utilities as an expression of high regard
	by the Texas House of Representatives.
